About the Conference

The 12th World Conference on Ecological Restoration (SER2027) will be held in person on 31 August – 4 September 2027 in Lisbon, Portugal. SER’s World Conference is an exciting and inspiring biennial gathering of global experts in restoration, making SER2027 the premier event for those interested in being active members of the global restoration community. 

Who Attends SER World Conferences?

Delegates represent the scientific, technical, policy, governmental, financial and socio-cultural sectors. They are researchers and practitioners of restoration working in nearly all biomes and continents. Conference delegates are passionate about discussing and debating big picture issues and broad trends, as well as specific restoration tools, techniques, research, and policies. SER2027 will equip participants with the resources, tools, and knowledge to turn global commitments into tangible ecological and societal benefits.

SER2025 truly embodied ‘Moving from Commitment to Action in Ecological Restoration.’ Its open and collaborative atmosphere made it easy to exchange ideas across disciplines & geographies, reminding us that restoration is not only a science but a collective movement.
